Community Think Tank Launch event – Agenda

On the 5th February we will be launching Technology for Good – Community Think Tank which is the official launch of our Community Interest Company.

The purpose of the Community Think Tank is to create and share technology that can help people with neurological conditions live better lives.

When and where is the Community Think Tank Launch?

The event will be hosted at the Microsoft Reactor in London  70 Wilson Street, London, UK from 6.30pm till 8.30pm.

Who should attend ?

In order for the Community Think Tank to be a long term success we need all kinds of people involved. We need people who have neurological conditions, healthcare professionals, educators, social care workers, carers, charities, researchers, developers, designers, innovators, entrepreneurs, politicians and innovators.

This is a free event, we have over 80 attendees signed up so far.

What will happen at the launch ?

The event will give you the chance to find out more about Technology for Good and our priorities. We will be sharing how Embracing Complexity fits into the work we are doing and learn how ORCHA helps to address the barriers to digital health adoption.

We will be running a discussion session on the Community Think Tank’s priorities with the opportunity to vote on the theme for our first hackathon.

What is the Agenda ?

6.30pm – 6.45pm Arrival and networking

6.45pm – 7.15pm

Sharon Curtis – Founder Technology for GoodCommunity Think Tank CIC. Sharon will introduce Technology for Good – Community Think Tank she will give an overview of why the community was started and

explain the journey so far, the priorities for the Community Think Tank, how it will work, how to get involved and what we plan to do next.

7.10pm- 7.25pm

Georgia Harper, Embracing Complexity Coalition Lead, Georgia will explain what it means to Embrace Complexity, why their research is important, the findings so far. We will discuss how this links up with the work we are doing with Technology for Good.

Break and networking 7.25pm – 7.35pm

7.35pm -7.50pm

Saira ArifORCHA, Implementation Manager, Saira will share with us how ORCHA is helping address the barriers to digital healthcare uptake and adoption and how they are empowering people to actively use and embrace digital health.

7.55pm – 8.25pm Community Think Tank – Theme discussions – Smaller group workshop sessions to discuss and help shape the key priorities for the Community Think Tank. Led by Technology for Good ambassadors.

At the end of the session we will be voting on the theme for the 1st Innovation hackathon session.
